Peanuts are undoubtedly a delicious snack enjoyed by millions worldwide as they are packed with protein. However, it’s unfortunate that peanut allergies are becoming more common globally. Did you know that peanuts contain over 30 different proteins, any of which can trigger a reaction? It’s important to note that peanut allergies differ from tree nut allergies as peanuts are legumes, not nuts. Nonetheless, research suggests that between 25% to 40% of individuals with a peanut allergy are also allergic to at least one type of tree nut.
